He was supposed to say, "charge the duties well and faithfully," not the other way around. And Sir Gaffes-a-lot here had a card to read off of...

I thought you were going to talk about Daschle withdrawing his nomination after his tax problems came to light. Though I suppose Biden's justice was a bit sweeter and Daschle was wise enough to realize that his tax problems were a PR nightmare for the Obama Administration (especially after the Geitner debacle). Perhaps it is time to look at the tax code and clean up the mess a bit?
